Hello Again… New Year Life Update

Good evening beautiful readers! Thank you for coming back to my page and for your patience during my absence. This website is such a joy to have and I am so grateful for all of those who read it. During my brief absence, I was allowing myself to slow down and focus on human interaction. I have truly learned the value of human interaction over the past year and I am thrilled to be able to grow in that for many years to come.

As you can tell from the title of this post, today is a simple life update. While this may not be the content that many of you are seeking when you look for my blog, I wanted to try to bring elements of human interaction and connection to this website because I truly am so thankful for you and want to build a community with this page.

The holiday season was joyous. We had the opportunity to visit Jake’s family for Christmas and this was able to give us the much-needed break from day-to-day life that we had been seeking. 2020 was a year of many transitions, one of those being spending exceptionally more time at home. Both of us work full-time jobs, and I try my hardest to support him after work. I think that, for both of us, we have learned how to support each other in the ways that show the most love after a long day at work.

After spending Christmas with Jake’s family, we made the trek back to Florida to have a Christmas celebration with my family. This was my first Christmas away from my family, and I missed them dearly. Although some sense of “missing out” did happen, they did a great job at making the holiday just as special celebrating a few days after.

After a short week of work, Jake and I were able to ring in the new year with a spectacular dinner-in, although Jake did endure a bit of a cooking injury while peeling the potatoes. I’ll spare you the details, I’m just thankful that we didn’t have to spend New Year’s Eve in the emergency room. It was a cozy night in where we made a really tasty dinner and relaxed until the ball dropped. Shortly after the New Year, we took a spontaneous trip to Hilton Head Island for a weekend getaway on a holiday weekend. For Valentine’s Day/President’s Day weekend we went to Cocoa Beach for a quick little trip and enjoyed the area, as well as the Kennedy Space Center.

We have been diving into each other this year, I know that many people say that after 2 years of being together the “honeymoon” phase is over, but let me tell you that I think that you can have the “honeymoon” phase for a long time with the right person. I’m not sure exactly what it is about the new year, but this has been an amazing year thus far for Jake and me.

Getting back into the swing of work was quite tough after the holiday season and is a massive part of why I have been absent for so long. I’m thrilled to be back and am so excited about my new posting schedule. I will be posting weekly but will be alternating between Monday and Tuesday, as some Mondays require me to be at work into the late evening, and some weeks there may be an extra post if I feel the draw to write on a pressing matter. I always post on my Instagram when I have a new post on the website, but feel free to leave your email on the homepage and I will send an email with new posts as well.

I’m so excited to dive into topics that relate to femininity, elegance in your life and home, some frugal living techniques and ideas, and even some posts about the true benefits of gender roles and maintaining traditional roles for a strong successful relationship.

Thank you so much for sticking around and I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to 2021. I’d love to hear about your holiday season, new year goals, and all of the moments 2021 has already brought to you. Feel free to send an email, leave a comment, or message me on Instagram. I’ll be back very soon!
